How can the beautiful game improve lives off the pitch? Charity initiative Common Goal shares how football can help vulnerable women.
When we were set the challenge to tell these womens stories, we needed to make sure our film wasn’t like every other charity film out there. It had to be engaging, fun and memorable? 8 shoots, 5 countries, 4 famous talent, 3 episodes and 1 cheeky puppet - this really isnt your average charity spot! All this lead to the highest engagement the channel had ever seen.
On top of this, it was important to put females at the centre both on and off camera. We used 5 local female directors - including myself representing the UK - and I was also the creative lead to cordinate across all the shoots and project in general. I then both edited and also co-ordinated a team of editors to cut all the post production delivery assets for many outputs.
